Five Terrific Reasons for a Victory Garden

  1. A Victory Garden (VG) is an affordable way to put quality, nutritious fresh food on your table.
  2. Because your produce doesn't travel long distances to reach your kitchen, you help to reduce America's dependence on fossil and bio-fuels.
  3. The plants in your garden help to create cleaner air and provide sustenance for important critters like honeybees.
  4. The addition of attractive vegetation to a homeowner's landscape can potentially help to maintain or raise your home's attractiveness, especially should you decide to sell it.
  5. With smart planning, you can minimize the time and energy required to create a VG...but all that stooping, carrying, digging, etcetera is very good exercise.

Feel free to post your own reasons...I'd love to read them.
