I thought this was great when I found it at the National Archives. It's from the First World War (a.k.a. "The Great War" in Europe) and does an interesting job of merging patriotism with food production/conservation.
And don't you think it would make ol' Lou Dobbs go "paws up" if we did something similar targeting modern immigrants? Hmmm...there's a lesson here, I think...
