As expected, international interest in Victory Gardens (VGs) is really on the uptick:
MSM:
From MetroNews.Ca, a great little article quoting top VG revival proponents Roger Doiron and Rose Hayden-Smith...Plus, here's a nice pro-VG column from Ontario has some noteworthy book recommendations, especially for Canadian gardeners. There's also this well-argued piece from Gloucester, Mass.
Blogosphere/Web:
CT Environmental Headlines notes the uptick in VG stories...An Urban Plot has a great post with some particularly good points about the "modern VG movement" worth reading...The Voice Magazine Online, a Christian web publication, has a nice op-ed, too...Another good post at Eatdrinkbetter.com...
Updates:
Check out Carolyn Herriot's New Victory Garden in Canada, which offers readers a chance to follow the development of a VG over the course of a growing season. The latest issue of Natural Health magazine has a solid, back-to-basics article on growing your own food. (When I checked tonight, it wasn't on their web site yet...although the extra online stuff for their article on eco-friendly weddings was. Hopefully, they'll get the garden story up soon enough.)
