On the way in the door from a shopping trip just now, I caught the tail end of a chat between CNN's Ali Velshi and Frank Sesno on Your $$$$. Sesno pointed out how local farmers may benefit from the fuel/food crisis. Good to see CNN acknowledging this notion. Kudos.
Also, fantastic article on Bedouin women gardening in the Israeli desert in the San Antonio Express-News. Not a VG notion per se, but a fine example of people returning to their gardening roots that deserves a nod.
