• Up in Austin, blogger Renee Studebaker has declared her garden a Victory Garden (VG)...yummy pics, too. I liked this remark from her bio "It's not her first Austin garden, but hopefully it will be her best."
• From Gaston, Fran Farlow's 2 June 2008 column mentions VGs and other "By the bootstraps" initiatives familiar with today's seniors.
• From Paso Robles, Ca....an interesting bit about wineries collaborating to grow food for the hungry. Mentions Detroit-based Urban Farming, an international organization designed to better utilized empty spaces and feeding the planet's needy people.
