Late last week, Joy of Joy's Victory Garden, presented RW&G the above blog award.
What a kick!
Now, if I understand blog etiquette, I'm supposed to pass it on...hmmmm....to make this manageable I'm going to stick to blogs that are at close to mine thematically or we will be here all day. (And can I just give a plug to Blotanical? Having just signed up late last week, I haven't begun to explore all the links to great garden blogs there from around the globe--many of which will be mentioned here in coming weeks.)
Victory Gardens, etc.:
• Joy's Own Site - She'd have been on my list even if she hadn't given me the award! (Link is above).
• FoodShed Planet- Someone should pay Pattie to blog. Seriously. She's a writer IRL, and it shows.
• Victory Grower - Rose is busy, busy, busy...but when she DOES post, I always read and nod, read and nod...
• Sustainable Backyard- Found this blog from a link at Joy's this week, but I really like it.
• Beyond the Lawn- Just found them this week, too...gorgeous food and photos...be careful...you'll want to rip out your lawn (if you haven't already!) and plant it with veggies.
For Their Power of Place (meaning Central Texas lifestyle-themes!) & Distinctive Female Voices:
• Lifescapes- Susan Albert's blog...wonderful...just wonderful...
• Redneck Mother- She's taking a break...I hope she comes back...she's a great writer!
• Garden Girl- Figs, crepe myrtles, sprawl and Pflugerville...GG's got it covered from Austin's far, far North side
• Seasonality/Hill Country Living- The blogger goes by the moniker "Hill Country Hippie," what could be more fun? And she lives near Wimberley, which is a beautiful area (but please don't move there, though...too many people already!)
• Wildflower Stew - When not blogging (and she doesn't post often), she recommends great books.
Thanks, Joy!
