Spreadin' the Word: Two Squidoos & One This I Believe Essay

As you may have discovered...I'm always looking for fresh ways to promote the Victory Garden revival and related ideas online. Currently, I'm trying to freshen up this blog's companion web site, www.redwhiteandgrew.com. There's a new widget on the resources page and I'm hoping to add some YouTube videos, too. If you're regularly bloggin' about Victory Gardens and you'd like to be included on the site's new blogroll, lemme know.

For kicks last week, I whipped up a new Squidoo promoting the Eat the View initiative. Check it out here. And I made this Squidoo, too, promoting locavorism in rural areas...I mentioned it in comments for my post on James McWilliams' op-ed, but I thought I'd bring it up again. One thing that I really like about Squidoo is it's a bit more visually friendly...which is good because my html skills are too rudimentary to allow much flash...or Flash, for that matter.

Oh, and a few weeks back...for kicks...I submitted a "This I Believe Essay"...here it is. I always wanted to write one. It was really kinda fun! Be careful if you go over there and start poking around...you'll find all kinds of interesting essays to read on all sorts of topics.

I hope in addition to reading this blog that you're helping spread the word both one-on-one and online. Every little bit helps...you just never know when your casual comment will trigger action (or just a change in perspective!) in another person.

Together, we can collaborate to address so many challenges ahead!

Please share any accessible, appropriate sustainable agriculture sites/blogs/etc. that you've created or discovered in Comments...Don't be shy! Share, share, share!
