Victory Gardens:
[San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom] Announces the Sponsorship of 15 Home Organic Gardens (KPIX TV,  4 September 2008)  The mayor is allocating $600,000 to sponsor pilot educational home-based gardens that mimic the Slow Food Nation Garden. Apparently, this is the first of a multi-part plan by the city to introduce sustainable food policy (see next entry).  And it is also related to the fantastic two year-old Victory Gardens 2008+ initiative.
San Francisco Developing Policy on Use of Local Food (San Francisco Chronicle, 5 September 2008)
Slow Food Nation Victory Garden Stays for Now (Sfist.com, 2 September 2008)
People & Places...This Week (ArchitectureWeek.com, 3 September 2008) The architects and designers behind the Slow Food Nation garden get a nod.
