Part I: Another Letter from Senator Cornyn re: Victory Gardening

So, remember a few weeks back when I shared Senator John Cornyn's email note to me?

Ruh-oh. Someone's been checking out Google again.

Or maybe a staffer figured out the snafu and decided to correct it. Either way, I got another note. A letter, actually.

It starts with an apology:

"I regret the confusion arising from my response to your inquiry; I appreciate having the benefits of your insight."

Aw, Senator, you had me at hello...

He continues:

"You previously wrote regarding the revival of Victory Gardens in an effort to relieve current pressures on our nation's food and fuel supply. The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources have primary jurisdiction over legislation relating to our nation's food and energy supply. Though I am not a member of those committees, you may be certain that I will keep your views in mind as relevant legislation is considered."

The final paragraph is standard closure.

Kudos to Senator Cornyn's office for not only righting an error but providing valuable, pertinent information.

All is forgiven, Senator!

Everyone else: For your advocacy pleasure, below is information on one of the two committees that Cornyn mentioned. If you're fired up about the Victory Garden campaign, consider writing one or more of the Senators listed below, bearing in mind that you'll have most pull if one of them also happens to represent your state. (For fun, you can watch Schoolhouse Rock for a refresher on the bill-making process!)
